No one can say, “Jesus is Lord!” except in the Holy Spirit.

I Corinthians 12:3

Is this verse meant as reassurance? Paul reminds them that once they were led astray… does he mean that they must now be in the Holy Spirit because now they say “Jesus is Lord”?

Hezekiah trusts in the LORD but still makes human preparations.

II Chronicles 33 §

Why does God suffer Manasseh to reign for 55 years, when the man is evil? In order that God might be glorified in Manasseh’s repentance. Manasseh’s son Amon does not follow his father into repentance. Amon rules only two years; his own servants put him to death. Repent.
