II Corinthians 3 §

The covenant of grace is so glorious that the covenant of the law, which made Moses’ face shine, has no glory at all (verse 10). When humans read the law, they see the glory of God through a veil. If we give our lives to Christ, the veil is removed, and we see the glory of God.

Nehemiah 6 §

Nehemiah (rightly) will not profane the temple with his own presence, even to save himself. LORD, give me the right view of my self and my sin! Help me, as the nations (verse 16), to fall in my own esteem when I behold Your works. Help me, as Nehemiah, to trust in you for my salvation and my good.
